This
example is great fun. It was produced in PhotoPaint 6, by user group member,
Betty Gerstner. She said she had a good time putting it together, and learned
a bit as well. The photos of the giraffe were taken by Betty at the San
Diego Wild Animal Park.
Betty is a painter. She planned this project to serve as a model for a painting she is intending to do. Not content with simply scanning some pretty images into Photo-Paint and leaving it at that, Betty conceived some interesting juxtapositions for her animal friends. Betty is still learning Photo-Paint, but projects like this are helping her learn quickly.
To accomplish this scene, she scanned the giraffe’s photo into Paint. Then, she made use of the various masking tools to create a mask around just the giraffe itself. She copied this to the clipboard, then pasted it into the existing bedroom scene, which was also a scanned image. The same was done with the image representing the view from the the window. The stuffed toys and balloon were also separate objects pasted into the original scene.
