Our meetings are usually pretty informative, but that doesn't mean we don't know how to have a good time. In May, 1997 we celebrated our 5th anniversary with a party organized by our resident party animal, Jane Witzel-Yanez.

Our 9th anniversary slipped by quietly in May, but we will undoubtedly have a bash to celebrate 10 years next May.

Last Meeting:
We had a general Q/A session. One of the main topics was how to simulate old-time colorized photos, starting with either a black and white or color photo. We will probably have some samples of this up soon in the tips/samples section.

Upcoming Meetings:
June 12, 2001… Corel is coming! Corel is sending a product specialist to our next meeting, to demonstrate some of their newly acquired graphics products including: Corel Painter, image editing geared towards emulating the natural media of actual painting; and Bryce, a tool designed to create natural looking or even surrealistic looking dimensional backgrounds and terrain. We aren't certain exactly which products will be demonstrated, but it is bound to be interesting no matter which.
