Huh?
Yes, that’s right. You can create web pages directly from CorelDraw. Is it the best tool for doing this? Probably not, if you are developing a fairly sophisticated website. On the other hand, for fairly simple websites, and even certain types of more complicated pages, Draw can actually be a good tool to use.

The obvious advantage to Draw, is that it is a tool you already know how to use. And, it doesn’t require a great deal of HTML knowledge (theoretically none) to make use of it. It functions as a WYSIWYG type editor for creating your web pages. You can take advantage of multiple pages, to create a whole site as a single .CDR file. You can use a master layer to create elements that repeat from page to page, like our friendly Gorilla.
What about Backgrounds?
I didn’t realize until about midnight last night, that you can create repeating backgrounds for web pages generated from Draw. The way you do it, is to go to page setup and choose background, then select either a color or a browse for a bitmap to use. I’ve got several that I pulled from CD#3 of the Draw 8 suite.
And Hyperlinks?
Yep! Draw makes it fairly easy to select an object, and turn it into a hyperlink. Click this one to see more…
